The companies G.F.IOANNIDES SA & G.F.IOANNIDES Ltd are operating in the Wholesale Trade (B2B) of Fabrics & Linens in the markets of Greece and Cyprus.

Our history

years

1910
Fotis G. Ioannides whose origin was from Livadia of Pitsilia, in pursuit of a better living, moved to Nicosia and from there to Trikomo where he started his own General Commerce business, thus laying the foundations for the future establishment of the company.

1940
George F.Ioannides, son of Fotis G.Ioannides, seeks to expand his enterprise and moves his business to Famagusta, continuing to trade various products. Focusing on Fabrics and Linen he gradually expanded his sales throughout Cyprus with his own distribution network and warehouses.

1974
After his displacement from Famagusta, due to the Turkish invasion, George F. Ioannides resumed his business, based in Larnaca.

1986
The company G.F.IOANNIDES LTD is established and undertakes the commercial works of George F. Ioannidis. Over the following years the company expanded along with its product variety in both Fabrics and Linens.

1996

The company is relocated to its current, new central premises in the Aradippou Industrial Zone, in the province of Larnaca.

For the proper management and promotion of the products three departments were created:

  • FABRICS: BASIC – FASHION
  • FABRICS: FURNITURE – CURTAIN
  • LINENS

1999
Expansion of existing facilities.

2000
Establishment of G.F.IOANNIDIS SA and physical presence in Greece through the acquisition of “Loom ΕΠΕ”.

2010
The IDRIS trademark is registered and gradually integrated into all products.

2013
The Linen category is addressed exclusively to the sectors of Hospitality, Wellness (SPA), Health, Care and Catering.
